Lowest Price Canon PowerShot SD780IS12.1 MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.5-inch LCD (Black)

I believe people who gave this camera a poor rating either don't own it or may have been expecting way to much from it. Its no match for my DSLR's but it isn't meant to be. I'll just graze over the pros and cons since so many have gone into detail already.

Pros
-Solid image performance
-Good HD video (as good as any of the mini camcorders out there and better stills to boot)
-Good feature set
-Some manual controls
-Decent speed
-Super compact
-Very stylish (if that's your thing)

Cons
-Too many mega pixels (canon should have stopped at 8 to 10mp for point and shoots. I believe that was the sweet spot)
-ISO's over 400 not really useable (by my standards anyway)
-Buttons are smallish
-Not much by way of zoom (and you cant zoom while shooting vids)

This camera is the perfect compromise when I don't want to lug my 50D (or my xti for that matter). Its shirt pocket portable so there is no excuse not to have it with you.
