This Canon is the best digital camera I've ever owned! I've been waiting for a digital camera that shoots great HD H.264 video and this one does the trick. It's overall still quality is that of a good consumer digital camera so you'll see artifacts when zooming in closely. Night shots are good for consumer cameras but not excellent.

One issue I've discovered on my Canon SD780is is that there are strange vertical lines sometimes in video mode if the camera is in direct sunlight.
